Position Description

Advantech is seeking a highly accomplished Recruiter. To date, Advantech has achieved much of its success through the recruiting engine and processes built around candidate sourcing, screening and closing. Through the years, the Advantech sales team has been able to apply the credibility of the company across the Chicagoland market, creating great opportunities for candidates. Capturing the message of success and carrying it forward to candidates will be the primary objective of this position.

Responsibilities:

Building new relationships and positioning Advantech as an employer of choice in candidate pools and populations are the core responsibilities of the Recruiter. Other responsibilities of the Recruiter include:

  • Become intimately familiar with Advantech and its core competencies  
    • Capturing the values and integrity built into the organization and communicating the message to unique and valuable candidate pools
    • Continuously identifying and managing contact with candidates that fit the Advantech Solutions requirements
    • Utilizing creative networking and sourcing skills to get to the best talent in the market, not just what is available
    • As needed, posting positions to groups, job boards and other online recruiting tools
    • Creating, providing input, practicing and managing thorough interview processes for multiple candidate profiles
    • Performing background, reference and technical checks for all candidates as required by the process
    • Maintaining thorough and accurate system documentation on all prospects and hires
    • Keeping abreast of current employment and labor laws
    • Utilize a well-defined value proposition for the benefit of sales advancement
    • Meet or exceed hiring quotas and profit margin objectives as outlined by management
    • Generate creativity in the Recruiter position that will create company growth and profitability for the company

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of successful technology recruiting or outside sales with proven track record in selling IT consulting or other intangible services to Fortune 1000 companies
  • Intelligent and energetic with a ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude
  • Highly knowledgeable of Information Technology concepts, business applications and organizational structures
  • Documented recruiting success resulting in no less than 24 hires per year
  • Proven ability to create relationships at all levels of technology positions
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and articulate, with an eye for perfection, when necessary
  • High level of focus on integrity and customer value
  • Technically proficient with experience in utilizing recruiting or contact management software
    • Proven background in sourcing candidates through various avenues other than job boards and resume banks
    • Highly organized and proven capability in managing work process and follow up tasks
    • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong desire to be a part of continuing to build an exceptional organization
    • Must have a stable work history with proven results
    • Self starter with the ability to multitask, set own priorities, solve problems effectively and continuously measure and improve processes
    • Skilled in MS Office, internet searching and other PC tools, as require

  • Highly competitive base salary plus commission and bonus
